We are so excited to share with you this in-home lifestyle photography session shot entirely on our medium format film camera. This was the second time we’ve photographed the Nooney family and they are just adorable!

Family lifestyle photos have become sessions I look forward to. People open up their homes to us and we photograph them in the spaces they raise their little ones. Homes come in all shapes and sizes. Decoration styles vary and that's the beauty of shooting in people's home because it has their personal touches everywhere you look.

One of the reasons I love photographing newborns is the opportunity to connect with our past TréCreative couples. We always love staying connecting with our wedding couples even after we deliver their images. Lifestyle sessions is one way we are loving being able to see them and capture these new seasons for them!

Anyone who is a parent knows, kids at this sweet age tend to be very busy and love moving around. On film specifically, this sometimes translates into pictures having a little more motion blur. We love film because of this as well, it can really capture and convey how the moment really was at that time the shutter is pressed.

To the Nooney family, thank you for inviting us into your beautiful Chico home and letting us capture your sweet family. We hope these photos will serve as memories of what life was like when these two were little and so full of energy and joy!

We met Sam and Carlie at their Chico home for their family newborn photos. I love all the detail and thought these two put into Callahan’s nursery. Several of the pieces were even hand made with love for this sweet little guy. There are traces all around showing how much people were joyfully anticipating his arrival. During our family portrait sessions love focusing on the connection between parents and their baby. As friends of Sam&Carlie, we saw first hand how they have gracefully stepped into and embraced this new season of parenthood. Thank you for thinking of us for your newborn photos here in Chico!

Jeremy and Maggie invited us into their beautiful home in Northern California. We spent the majority of our time photographing them in Leo’s beautiful nursery that they put together for him. I loved the neutral palette and simple decor they had placed around for him.

With newborns, time is stretched and accelerated all at the same time. There are so many irreplaceable moments and change happens by the hour. Babies are a precious gift, the start of a new family adventure. In our business, one of our greatest goals is that our work would not only preserve, but encourage this spirit of family legacy. I feel incredibly honored and privileged to be the one to freeze time and bring families back to that very emotion of bringing their baby home for the first time.

Shooting on film is another reason we’ve fallen in love with these sessions. Film not only captures colors so vibrantly and soft, it also makes us slow down and focus on our subjects and how they are interacting together. It forces us to care about quality over quantity and making us fall in love with photography and how it captures people all over again.

The Silberbauer family live in the most adorable neighborhood and have a beautifully decorated home. Brent and Jen are the amazing parents of Zoe and now baby Ezekiel.

Little Calvin is at the age where everything is an adventure and sitting still doesn't usually happen unless he's looking at his favorite books. Jumping up and down in his crib in the morning before breakfast and playing with Hobbes are some of his favorite things and so those were the activities they did together while I was there. I love watching Brittany be his mom and love on him so well! What a fun session documenting his everyday life. Below are some of our favorites.
